Remote Access
She: [while watching Clerks] Can you turn on the subtitles? I think I'm missing some of the jokes.
I: Sure. [pushes the subtitles button on the remote control]
Unidentified Source: beep
She: Uh. Did my DVD player always beep like that?
I: I don't know. Let me try it again.
Unidentified Source: beep
She: Is it just me, or is the heater quieter?
I: Uh, yeah. It's on low now. Wait a minute. [puts heater back on the high setting, and then pushes the subtitle button on the remote again]
Heater: beep
I: Okay, that's just weird.
She: It responds to the DVD remote?
I: Apparently. Stranger things have happened I guess.
She: [sets heater back to high setting]
Heater: beep
She: Hey, stop that!
