I have been listening to Live 365 radio for almost a year now
and when I saw this station on a requested for my tastes list
I have not bothered listening to any other stations. I am rather
curious to find out what inspired you and where you find some
of the remixes I hear ....

Thank you for your creative musical expression,

Gillian David – 2005-07-06

Just wanted to tell you that you run a great station. It is the only
one on Live365 that I regularly listen to. You have introduced me to
some great music too! Thanks for doing this!

Maureen Omara – 2005-04-02

Keepin' it real, I like that

Matt

I really love the station you've put together. I probably log in around 40 TLH a week, listening both at work and at home. Your song selection has a way of really transporting me to someplace I can’t even describe. It’s always a great journey, too. And your profile's 'About Me' is a brilliant bit of writing.

I hope the station’s going well. Please keep up the great work.

Doug – 2005-03-13

I've found your live365.com station Onomatopoeia most enjoyable. I like a
lot the music you broadcast and a fine source for triphop and downtempo
artists that I can not listen normally here in my country. I hope you can
keep going with this fine-music project and even grow the playlist.

Thank you very much, sincerely...

Ciao ciao,

Andres.

onomatopoeia, just really great stuff

Good day from Ontario

Just a note to say that your station is my first grab when I walk through the door from work. Love it, love it, love it. Your picks renew my faith in online radio (in music, really...) and I've discovered many before-unheard-of artists who I can't believe I lived without hearing. Life is sweet.

Great, great work on your part!

Thanks
Kelly

Good Work

I am a devoted listener to onomatopoeia. I found the station by accident a year ago and have not stopped listening to it since. I commend you in your ability to search thru all of the crap out there and to enlighten people like myself in some truly original and beautiful music. Keep on searching and don’t change anything! Why can’t we have radio that plays the same genre, not even satellite or sirrus has this type of music. The best of luck into the future!

Fondly,

Peter

Hi Matt-

Great music.

Thanks.

Matt,

I love your Live365 station and was wondering whether you have ever thought about having a guest downtempo DJ host a live show during the week. I think it would be a nice addition, assuming it's not against Live365 policy to blend the beginning and end of the songs.

Keep up the good work on the station!

Kudos

Thanks for broadcasting these excellent tunes. Between your station and EMJoy, my work day is much more enjoyable. I even have a pad next to the computer to write down the names of my favorites. I'm not sure what genre you are (trip-hop maybe) but regardless, you have made a significant positive contribution here, and you are to be commended.

Hello Matt,

I began listening to Onomatopoeia a few months ago and adore your music selection. It's perfect to play in the background as I write.

I never noticed that you had a website until tonight and on a whim I determined to visit it. Not only do you have fine taste in music, but you are an entertaining read as well. And you have a cat. You must be a good person. It's all there in the equation. Good Music + Good Writing + Owns Cat....

Anyway, thanks for sharing your tunes and your writing.

Take care,

Kristi

I listen to your station all day at work, every day, its turned me on to so many acts that I did not know of before, I’ve bought over 15 cds based on a few songs ive heard on your station, so thank you for that…that alone is priceless. Next up is the request…have you heard The Avalanches? im assuming you have by your taste, (but if you haven’t, you must) maybe you could throw a couple of their tunes in the mix yea? They are awesome, and would fit the color of your mixes for sure…ive listened to all the downtempo/ambient/electronic stations that 365 recommends, and yours is hands down the best…now for the serious bit…I play trumpet, I actually went to the boston conservatory and berklee college of music for a couple of years, and was in various bands, your station has got me so into downtempo, that ive been saving to build my own studio, and have found someone else to start this new endeavor of electronic greatness…so look out for severphonic…you can see how your playlists have affected my musical taste at my online profile http://www.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewProfile&friendID=4407462&Mytoken=20041222114343 ….keep up the good work…and thank you

Thanks-

Yo mmussel,
I've been visiting Live365 radio, and got to your station...
I really liked what you play there!

I'm a musitian from Israel and I compose my own music...
I'm sure that you'll like my music!
And maybe you can play my music on onomatopoeia...

I'll be glad to get some "air-time" at your station...

You can download 7 of my tracks (in mp3 format)
from http://www.GilAmran.com I think that you'll mostly
like the track "began feeling good"... listen to it first :-)

Waiting for you reply..

btw: I visited the website (http://www.onomatopoeia.org).. cool thing!

Thanks

Sorry for my poor english, and general misuse of the language... (I read
you're "picky about people's grammar")...
Anyway, I heard on your radio the excelente "waiting line", from zero7, but
contained in a soundtrack (from a movie still not available in
Portugal...)... and I was wondering if you still don´t know the original
album, "Simple Things", who deserves to be known, like its sucessor, "When
it falls" (not so good, but still capable of containing some little
treasures).
Ignore me if you already know the albums, just trying to share some
knowledge (hard in your case, when you already have such a good taste...).
Keep up the good work:

A satisfied costumer...

whut up,

I took my ipod to work tonight only to find the battery dead. So i queued
up your station because launchcast wasnt available. I think i listened to
it for at least 4 hours until i heard a song that i DIDNT have on my ipod.
Our playlists have to be pretty damn close!

needless to say, you have incredible taste in your choice of music!

thanks!

Matt Canning – 2004-11-21

Matt,

I had to drop you a note to say that your station is great! Your mix/program/format is close to perfect. I just don't find myself switching around when listening to onomatopoeia — at least when I'm in the mood for downtempo. I hope you keep it going.

Regards,
John

Hey,

I'm really digging the music you have running at Live365. Not once
have I loaded the station and not enjoyed the music. But to the
point...

Do you have a playlist of the music you are playing on the station?
Just a listener wishing to expand his horizons/music collection. If
such a thing isn't available, it's cool. Definately a cool
collection. On a side note, because this music isn't mainstream where
I am, any suggestions for resources I can use to find out more?
Obviously live365 is a huge resource. Thanks again.

GREAT JOB!

Joshua Carl – 2004-10-29

hi matt!
i listen to your live365 station all the time. practically all day every
day. i love it! i make notes about songs i really like and check out those
albums, but one note has escaped me. is it you who plays the song that
samples the astronauts talking to the command center as they're flying into
view of the sun? i love the way that song builds, but googling for "space"
and "music" and "sun" has proven futile (suprise!). can you help?

also, i collaborated (writing, arranging, vocals) with two sf dj/producers,
jondi & spesh, on three songs off their new album. maybe you'd like them?
check out these :30 samples and let me know if you'd like me to send or
upload the whole track for you.

thanks for all the great tunes and your help!

Hey Matt,
I just wanted to say that I LOVE listening to your station on Live365.
I have been listening to stuff like Thievery Corporation and Massive
Attack for several years but you have introduced me to a few new
favorites! I was wondering if you could tell me where you get your
music. You download any of it? I really want that song by Tabla Beat
Science, Palmistry is the name of it I think.
Anyay, its great to know there are other people out there that
appreciate GOOD music!

Catherine Oostdyk – 2004-10-21

Good morning Matt.

Just want to drop a big big "thank you" for your Live365 broadcast...
for feeling fine with the so familiar songs from Massive Attack and
Portishead and all the other good guys and girls... and for all the new
discoveries I made while listening to your station: Blue States' "Your
girl" and Telepopmusik make my day!

Enjoy yours!

Stefan Günzel – Hamburg – 2004-10-15

Hi Matt,
